The average yearly temperature is −2,5 °C a +2,8 °C and the extreme values go to 38,0 °C e −43 °C. Is the most northern desert of all and is home to some rare animals like de asian camel and the przewalski horse. The Gobi desert is known in the world of Paleontology by its richest in fossils, where were found by the first time many dinosaur species. Its sands were traveled and described by a western in the year of 1272, in the famous trip Marco Polo made, with his father and uncle, to Beijing.
